Areas of white rust should be removed by hand or power wire brushing. Red rust spots must be treated with a rust killer product or primer, followed by the application of MULTIMAX. All rust treatments currently recommended for use under acrylic paints are suitable for use with MULTIMAX.

Yes, MULTIMAX colors are fully intermixable. We recommend experimenting with Test Pots to achieve the desired color and testing on an inconspicuous area before proceeding with the entire surface.

Additionally, applying MULTIMAX uniformly with an even application and maintaining a good wet edge is crucial for consistent sheen, as uneven application or touch-ups may produce different finishes once dry.

Yes, all of our DECKMAX, AQUAMAX, TIMBERMAX, and MULTIMAX products include dry film mould protection. These additives help prevent mould from growing on the surface of the coated area. However, if mould is already present on the surface, it must be treated and removed before applying any coating. We recommend using products like PREPMAX for decks and GET-GONE for other surfaces to properly prepare them. Be sure to check the product label on the pail for additional information—it can sometimes be easy to miss.
