Decking Stain

DECKMAX Decking Stain: Enriched with Nourishing Linseed Oil and Protective Hybrid Resins.

Perfect for pine and hardwood timber decks, outdoor furniture, fences, and houses. For optimal results, prep the surface with MASTERMAX PREPMAX.

GUIDE FOR USING MASTERMAX PREPMAX:

  1. Clear the deck of all furniture.

  2. Cleanse the area by sweeping or washing it with water to remove surface dirt.

  3. Thoroughly shake the PREPMAX concentrate.

  4. Dilute 1 part PREPMAX with 4 parts water in a plastic container. This mixture should cover around 10-15 square metres, depending on the timber's texture and absorbency.

  5. Dampen the timber area with clean water.

  6. After waiting 10-15 minutes, gently scrub the boards.

  7. Using a stiff bristle broom or brush, generously apply the PREPMAX mixture to the timber surface, ideally along the full length of each piece of timber. Scrub vigorously to ensure effective foaming.

  8. Allow the mixture to sit on the timber surface for approximately 15 minutes. Additional application may be necessary to maintain surface wetness.

  9. Thoroughly rinse the timber surface with a low-medium pressure wash down.

  10. Ensure the timber surface is completely dry before applying the coating.

  11. Check for any missed spots and repeat cleaning in small areas if needed.

TIPS FOR DECKMAX DECKING STAIN:

  • Always conduct a colour test beforehand to ensure your chosen DECKMAX shade achieves the desired result on the actual timber being stained. Note that the wet colour will darken upon drying.

  • Apply DECKMAX along the entire length of the boards while maintaining a wet edge to prevent overlapping. Treating 2-3 boards at a time is optimal.

  • For enhanced durability and protection, apply two coats of DECKMAX.
