PREPARATION IS IMPORTANT:
-
Ensure the timber surface is clean and free of mould and moss, dirt and contaminants.
-
Treat mould and moss with a MASTERMAX fungicidal cleaner or a proprietary fungicidal product.
-
Use PREPMAX Timber Clean & Prep for a more aggressive preparation and leave for at least 2 weeks. Then remove dead material by scrubbing and/or a low-medium pressure water blasting. Note: Heavy water blasting is not recommended as it can “fluff” up the timber surface.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Q: Gloss variation?
A: Due to variations of absorption in some timbers grains, initial gloss patterns maybe evident, but these dimmish with time.
Q: On decks?
A: Whilst we know some customers have used AQUAMAX on decks, due to the slow curing time, we don’t recommend it. We recommend either DECKMAX Decking Stain or TIMBERMAX Deck paint.
